New partners bookable on lufthansa.com

Planning and booking trips is now easier than ever for Lufthansa passengers. Since 1 September 2007, the airline has been offering a much greater range of hotels and rental cars via its Internet portal lufthansa.com in conjunction with its new hotel partner HRS – Hotel Reservation Service and the car rental companies Sixt and Avis.

Thanks to the collaboration with HRS, Lufthansa passengers can now make reservations at more than 225,000 hotels worldwide in all price categories. The choice of hotels is tailored exactly to the needs of Lufthansa passengers. „As part of the cooperation agreement, we are extending our online offer with hotel accommodation and car rental. In addition to flights our website now provides customers with a range of offers from experienced partners,“ said Josef Bogdanski, Senior Vice President Sales Germany and Global Key Accounting at Lufthansa. Business and leisure travellers can use the electronic hotel reservations system to make direct bookings free of charge, with instant confirmation. Miles & More members can search directly for partner hotels that award miles, as these are specially marked in the system.

At its 4,900 outlets in 161 countries, car rental partner Avis offers travellers greater mobility and excellent service. Sixt rent a car has 3,500 car rental stations in 85 countries and an attractive limousine service for business travellers at more than 600 destinations. For each booking – with either of the car companies – that qualifies for miles, passengers receive valuable award miles and the special conditions applicable to Miles & More members.

Lufthansa has signed a long-term cooperation agreement with the above hotel and car rental partners.
