New delectable dessert options let guests satiate their sweet tooth with decadent treats

WAIKIKI, HONOLULU, HAWAII – Got a sweet tooth for rich and indulgent desserts? Embassy Suites®-Waikiki Beach Walk®, Hawaii’s first and only all-suite hotel accommodations in the heart of Waikiki, has partnered with Roy’s Waikiki and Ruth’s Chris Steak House to introduce two signature desserts – The „Embassy Sweets“ Mud Pie and „Embassy Sweets“ Coconut Trio.

Executive chefs of Roy’s Waikiki and Ruth’s Chris Steak House each developed these special dessert creations in honor of their location adjacent to Embassy Suites -Waikiki Beach Walk and named them „Embassy Sweets.“ Each restaurant’s new dessert has been added to the menu and is offered exclusively to Waikiki Beach Walk location guests.

The „Embassy Sweets“ Mud Pie at Ruth’s Chris Steak House:
Ruth’s Chris Steak House adds a new dimension to its broad line of gourmet desserts with the Embassy Sweets Mud Pie, a special creation of Executive Chef Leighton Miyakawa. The Embassy Sweets Mud Pie is a heavenly concoction with three generous layers of Haagen Dazs chocolate, vanilla and coffee ice
creams, with chunks of Oreo cookie crumbs folded into each layer. Anchored by an Oreo cookie crust, the Mud Pie is topped with whipped cream, lightly toasted macadamia nuts and garnished with strawberries and a maraschino cherry on top. After being drizzled with deep chocolate ganache, the Mud Pie is ready for diners to sink their sweet tooth into.

„The new Embassy Sweets Mud Pie offers guests an assortment of their favorite treats all together in one dish,“ said Executive Chef Leighton Miyakawa. „We put just as much care and time into our desserts as we do our renowned steaks, and this new treat reflects that.“

Ruth’s Chris Steak House has become an island favorite with its popular menu of dry-aged steaks, fresh local seafood, and desserts in a classic steak house atmosphere. The new Waikiki Beach Walk location also offers fresh island fish from Pacific waters and creative seafood preparations using top local ingredients such as Hamakua mushrooms and Kamuela tomatoes. Ruth’s Chris is located on the second level, adjacent to Embassy Suites -Waikiki
Beach Walk. Reservations are not necessary in the lounge but are taken for dinner at (808) 440-7910. The restaurant is also available for private functions during the lunch period.

The „Embassy Sweets“ Coconut Trio at Roy’s Waikiki:
Roy’s Waikiki’s newest dessert, the Embassy Sweets Coconut Trio, is a mouthwatering coconut creation that includes three mini desserts in one: a portion of coconut crème brulee, a portion of chocolate decadence and haupia, and some Bubbies Homemade coconut chocolate mochi ice cream. The coconut crème brulee is shredded coconut mixed with traditional crème brulee, topped with mint and pineapple marmalade. The chocolate decadence
with haupia is a delicate flourless chocolate cake, coated with dark
chocolate ganache, wrapped with velvet ribbons of haupia (the traditional coconut milk-based Hawaiian dessert) coconut mousse and finished with strawberries. The Bubbies Homemade coconut chocolate mochi ice cream is a harmonious combination of creamy chocolate ice cream wrapped in a coconut flavored rice confection, resulting in a delectable bite-sized ball.

„We decided to feature the coconut in our new dessert because it’s known in all parts of the globe,“ said Executive Chef Jason Peel. „With Roy’s vast knowledge in cuisine and his expert techniques from around the world, the coconut’s versatility makes this delicious new dessert a perfect fit for our restaurant.“

Roy Yamaguchi’s famous Hawaiian Fusion cuisine blends fresh local ingredients with European sauces and bold Asian spices. A founding chef of Hawaii Regional Cuisine, Roy’s signature restaurants have a menu heavy on Hawaiian fish dishes, as well as a tantalizing range of appetizers, entrées, and desserts. Roy’s Waikiki is part of the Embassy Suites-Waikiki Beach
